The Lincoln Memorial: Iconic Landmark, Reflecting Pool & National Mall Views

Immortalized in marble, the Lincoln Memorial of Washington, DC is one of the most iconic and beloved destinations of the U.S. Situated on the western end of The National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial honors the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, as he sits contemplatively over the mall's Reflecting Pool. Climb the memorial's historical steps, where Martin Luther King Jr. made his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. Experience the stately grandeur of the 19-foot statue of President Lincoln. Stand beside the memorial's 36 immense Doric columns, each representing the 36 unified U.S. states at the time of his death, and share President Lincoln's sweeping view of The National Mall.
