  • What exhibits are at the National Gallery of Art

    The National Gallery of Art boasts roughly 4,000 paintings, 31,000 drawings, 3,000 sculptures and 70,000 prints from all over the world. One of the largest museums in the Americas, the National Gallery of Art houses a range of permanent collections by masters such as Raphael, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci, Whistler and Monet. The National Gallery of Art also regularly hosts rotating exhibits, from Hellenistic sculptures to pop art. 
  • Is photography permitted?

    Photography for personal use is permitted inside the museum. However, photography is not allowed in special exhibits and where marked specifically prohibited. The National Gallery of Art does not allow visitors to bring monopods, tripods or selfie sticks on the premises.
